TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY

I remember when my son was about 13 and "acting up," I would say to him that if he didn't get his act together, I was gon' whoop dat ass! He would say, "I can't wait 'til I get in my twenties and then you will be in your forties and you will be too old to catch me." My son is now 25 years old and I am now in my mid forties and today just like back then...I will still whoop dat ass!

Thanks to everyone who sent me birthday wishes yesterday and today and I will be celebrating my birthday next Saturday at Shashamane Bar and grill in Oakland on Saturday, March 15, and my boy Dj Chris "The Maestro" Johnson of L.A.'s Catch One Disco will be on the digital wheels of steel.
